Sean Paul and Fatman Scoop’s official video for their tune “Party Tun Up (Remix) we take a look back at one of Vegas and Paul’s previous Hip Hop collaborations from the classic Hype Williams directed “Belly.” The dog himself DMX roped in Vegas and Paul for the 1998 hit “Top Shotter” (commonly known as “Here Comes The Boom”) to create one of the best hip hop/dancehall crossover records ever.     Mr. Vegas was in NYC this past week to shoot the video of his remix to mega hit “Party Tun Up” featuring Sean Paul and energy DJ Fat Man Scoop. The location of the video was none other than NYC infamous clubs, WIP and Greenhouse, known for their exclusive, celebrity filled, shut the city down type of parties.     This Tuesday Will Be a Big Day In Dancehall

    Tomorrow’s a big day in dancehall. Three of the genre’s biggest hitmakers will be releasing albums on Tuesday September 24th, showing that reggae is still running things. Shaggy’s star-studded collaboration with Sly & Robbie, Out of Many One Music will see its digital release tomorrow physical copies available later in the year. Mr. Vegas’s album takes its title from his runaway hit “Bruk It Down,” a single from the singjay’s critically acclaimed double album Sweet Jamaica. This time around he’s dropping Bruk It Down 2.o, which includes a remix of the title track featuring Alison Hinds along with a slew of dancehall bangers. Last but not least, The Worldboss will be releasing a 3-disc “Trilogy” entitled Kartel Forever which includes new songs like “Business.”  Shaggy will be appearing on RadioLily tonight to talk about his new album. Vegas will be hosting a listening event at Rosewood in NYC. Kartel, unfortunately, is still in custody in Kingston.     Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder, and Mr. Vegas Star on Pre-Labor Day Special

    With Labor Day weekend right around the corner, New York is buzzing with anticipation for a weekend of Caribbean culture. Even hip-hop and R&B stations are pumping up their reggae, dancehall, and soca playlists. Not to be outdone, BET’s top-rated music show 106 & Park will be devoting today’s show to dancehall stars Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder and Mr. Vegas. Even the music videos on the show representing Caribbean culture, and the audience and hosts are repping their favorite islands. Boomshots got the early heads-up so we made our way to BET’s studios for the taping and snagged some backstage interviews. We chopped it up with Beenie Man, who debuted a new video on the show (“Thug Love” featuring Ce’Cile) and Mr. Vegas, who told us about his big Beyonce remix “Standing on the Sun” and his forthcoming dancehall album, Bruk It Down 2.0.
