HEAR THIS: Wayne Marshall ft. Ace Hood, Baby Cham, Waka Flocka “Go Harder”

Certified Boomshot Off The Tru Colors EP, Dropping Today

Looks like the Ghetto Youths crew have been going extra hard this month, releasing the fruits of their labour. Hot on the heels of Christopher Ellis’s Better Than Love EP  comes Wayne Marshall’s Tru Colors EP, which officially hits the streets today. The movement is large and the hard work sure is paying off as Tru Colors is another outstanding piece of work that’s sure to stay in heavy rotation on your playlist until the full album drops in early 2014. Produced by Damian Marley, the EP includes Marshall’s latest certified boomshot, a remix of the dancehall posse cut “Go Hard,” this time aptly renamed “Go Harder” and featuring Ace Hood, Baby Cham & Waka Flocka. It’s a whole next episode in the saga. Audio & Video After The Jump…

“‘B*tch I’m married to the game” #Ace, “Married to the hustle cause I love my money green” #Cham, “Shot, shot, shot, shot till the party drop… Blood diamonds in my neck & my watch” #Waka   Is that hard enough for ya? Run that…

Tru Colors EP Track Listing:

1. Go Harder feat. Ace Hood, Baby Cham & Waka Flocka
2. I Know
3. Stupid Money feat Assassin
4. To The Bank
5. Good Ole Wife

Elsewhere on the EP Marshall collabs with Assassin for “Stupid Money,” on which Marsheezy explains all about his relationship with the good ol’ dollar bill. “From a very tender age I knew I was above the average/Innate knowledge, the kind you don’t learn in college.” And he doesn’t hold back on the details: “Jet-setter, shopping in vienna, custom Louis V with the shades and the sweater/To find the treasure I dug deeper, I got better.”  Then Sasco jumps in to elaborate: “We nah talkin’ ’bout lunch money/We talking lump sums, trust funds and grand sons-sons-sons money.” By the time they get to the part about “Pushing a lamborghini with the interior peach” £OhGosh£ Now that sure sounds like stupid money! #workhardplayhard innit!

As for “I Know”—well, most of you already know what that’s all about. For those who don’t, Wayne has a very real message to convey, so take a minute to peep game. “Me and my friends run these streets, and you is no threat to we.” #GameOver

The EP squares off with 2 bonus tracks Marshall’s hit “Good Ole Wife” on the popular Matrimony riddim, and a new song called “To The Bank.”

And to fink this is just a preview for the forthcoming album!
