Ding Dong talks New Album, and His Journey from “Ding Dong to World Ding”

As his breakthrough hit “Badman Forward” marks its 20th Anniversary, the Ravers Boss celebrates another career milestone: a debut album that stays true to his Dancehall roots while elevating his profile as a worldwide star.

“I took time out to create my fanbase,” Ding Dong explains in a new exclusive Boomshots interview with Reshma B. “A lot of people know me from Passa Passa,” says the world famous entertainer who first made his name rocking street dances with his innovative moves. “I have to let them know me as an artist,” Ding Dong says. “So I took time out to build my artistry so I record different different songs.” The trail of hits speak for themselves, and now Ding Dong should be known around the globe as World Ding. When Ding Dong released his single “Danca Bwoy” a few months back, it was clear that he had something to get off his chest.
