What Is Love Without Trust?

You might know Ricky Blaze as the man who produced Gyptian’s “Hold Yuh,” the first reggae/dancehall cut to be certified gold since Jr. Gong’s “Welcome to Jamrock.” You might know him as the guy who sang that song “I Feel Free.” But really what he is is a creative force. Working out of a basement studio in Flatbush BK, Mr. Blaze has made his share of classic dancehall cuts, but he’s also capable of creating whole new genres. Take his latest release for example—a dreamy blend of trance, dancehall, and R&B that he’s dubbed “trancehall.” The songs is called “Last Try,” and it’s all affairs of the heart.
